Paper Abstract:
|
Digital libraries and repositories are one of today's main concerns in academic institutions. The ever increasing amount of
documents, thesis, reports memos and presentations are migrating to a digital form which, by its nature, is demanded to
be easily stored, searchable and delivered. In this paper we propose an architecture which uses open-source and freeware
technologies to implement a repository of those items in academic institutions. Our main goal is to provide
interoperability between several other repositories and to provide a mechanism which can allow us to profit from the
metadata available in learning objects, either in the form of SCORM packages or as IMS-LD packages. |
